DAF is a boutique private higher education with small classes that enables us to offer individual attention to each of our learners with a focus on developing their unique potential.
As a values-based institution, we focus on the heart and mind of the designer, facilitating the student’s development across all aspects of life. We believe that as designers, the better we understand ourselves and the world around us, the more relevant our creations become as we approach design with understanding and empathy.
The faculty has many years of industry experience between them and we constantly engage with major retailers, designers and suppliers to ensure our curriculum remains relevant to industry needs.
DAF recently launched Distilled. A department of DAF that offers a unique opportunity for our graduates to freelance on jobs from industry. We work with retailers on-trend work, designs and tech packs, and launching start-up brands for clients.
DAF is the only South African institution in the Gucci Fellowship Program.
In a recent survey, 100% of the DAF graduates would recommend DAF to friends and family.
Our full-time qualification, Diploma in Fashion, offers insight into all aspects of the fashion industry.
The majors are Fashion Design & Garment Construction but include modules like Marketing & Advertising, Retail Buying and Micro-Business management.
